Why should you choose Hartville Hemp seed genetics?
Our seed represent the newest hemp genetics available in the state of Ohio. We propagate our seeds in a proprietary state of the art 10,000+ Sq foot CEF (Controlled Environment Farm) setting which ensures purity and optimal yields, and then transplanted to our outdoor farm to ensure portability. The end products are safe, clean and grown to USDA Organic specifications, producing industrial high-yield, low-risk seed that can be grown by licensed farmers into premium-grade industrial hemp and derivatives.
Does Hartville Hemp sell to individuals?
Currently we sell our seeds and biomass products only direct to businesses, distributors and wholesalers. Our website and media are designed for B2B transactions, and we don’t expect to be selling B2C (direct to consumers) in the near future. If that changes we will notify our customers on the website shop page.
What is the germination rate of these seeds?
We are a member of the OSIA (Ohio Seed Improvement Association) the regional chapter of the AOSCA (American Organization of Seed Certifying Agencies) and in the process of seed certification. At that point we will be a registered seed seller and required by the OSIA and ODA to follow labeling requirements for seed sold. HHP LLC have tested for our seed to germinate at an above-average OSIA germination rate. Of course, conditions are everything so results may vary.
What is the CBD content of our seeds?
This is a common question that depends on the strain and how it’s grown. We would prefer to under promise and overdeliver on the results of our seeds, without making the outrageous claims that many unscrupulous breeders claim.
Our seeds show CBD to THC ratios of approximately 15:1. These ratios will move almost daily during the flowering cycle and at harvest time (for hemp) come in somewhere in the 20:1 to 30:1 range and settle in consistently over 9% CBD. Much of this depends on the length of growing cycle. Talk to our sales representatives to discuss the particulars of growing the strains.
How many seeds do I get with an order?
We sell our seeds in one-acre kits, which average about 25,000 seeds. The important distinction is that our premium seeds are feminized with 99% purity (speak to your sales rep about your order). Since our inception in 2020, our commercial strains have been bred over multiple breeding cycles, with future seed supplies carrying the designations of registered, foundation and certified seed tags from the state of Ohio via OSIA (the Ohio seed Improvement Association). This ensures stable, consistent genetics for all Hartville Hemp products. Please keep in mind that every farmers grows their plants in a different ways. We remind our buyers that it is their responsibility to monitor the plants they grow, and to excise any contrary plants that appear (incl males, defective, etc.).
How does Hartville Hemp ensure compliant and stable hemp products?
The HHP seed increase program as an indoor production process which will adhere to USDA certified National Organic Program (NOP) standards for compliant hemp seeds and biomass derivatives. Our program focuses primarily on seeds that have been proven to be within federal compliance levels by research at prominent universities, in particular the Cornell CALS program, which is authorized by the Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture and Markets as part of the New York State Hemp Agricultural Pilot Program. The same team at Cornell has assisted the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s research agency to create the country’s only hemp seed bank in Geneva, N.Y. Our seed increase will focus on the strains reviewed by Cornell, with federally compliant metabolite ratios.
What We Will Never Say about our CBD Flower or Hemp Derivatives Products:
Even though every HHP product comes with federal & Ohio complaint COA's, we make no medical claims about our hemp products.
